Accessibility Statement
Brand Butter Marketing Agency Inc. is committed to ensuring our digital presence is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. This statement describes the measures we take to improve the accessibility of our website, the standards we aim to meet, and how you can tell us if something isn't working for you.
1. Our commitment
We believe the web should work for everyone. We design and build with accessibility in mind from the start, not as an afterthought, and we continuously improve as we learn more about how people use our site.
2. Standards we aim for
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
3. Accessibility features
Our website includes the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML — pages use proper headings, landmarks, and document structure so screen readers and assistive technologies can navigate content effectively
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (links, buttons, menus) can be reached and activated using the keyboard alone
- Alt text on images — meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked as such
- Sufficient colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios
- Visible focus indicators — the currently focused element is clearly highlighted
- Responsive design — content reflows and remains usable at zoom levels up to 200% and across device sizes
- Reduced-motion consideration — animations are subtle and do not rely on rapid flashing; users can disable motion via their operating system preferences
- Descriptive link text — links communicate their destination, even out of context
- Form labels — all form fields (when present) are clearly labelled
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of our site may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA in every respect. Known limitations include:
- Third-party embedded services (such as Calendly) are subject to the accessibility of those third parties
- Some decorative animations may not respect the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem preference; we are working to address this
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on our site, we want to hear about it so we can fix it. Please see the Feedback section below.
5. Assistive technology
Our website has been tested with a range of assistive technologies, including:
- Screen readers — including NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Browser zoom up to 200%
- High-contrast operating system modes
We recommend the latest versions of modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) for the best experience.
6. Feedback and contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you experience any accessibility barriers, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please get in touch:
Please include the page you were trying to access, the barrier you encountered, and any assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within five business days.
7. Alternative formats
If you need information from this site in an alternative format (for example, large print, plain text, or read aloud), please contact us and we will provide it at no cost.
8. Legal framework
We strive to meet or exceed our obligations under the Accessible Canada Act and, where applicable, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and similar provincial accessibility legislation.
